Five research queues

The queues answer different questions; a channel may appear in more than one.

  1. Best channels to learn from — focused editorial identity, repeatable performance evidence, and plausible transferability.
  2. Breaking out / growth potential — channels whose captured catalogue suggests strong performance relative to their scale. This is a static proxy unless repeated snapshots establish momentum.
  3. Durable exemplars — substantial output history and repeated performance rather than a single outlier.
  4. Unexplored niches — underrepresented subjects or approaches worth investigating. Novelty is a discovery signal, not proof of demand.
  5. Reference / inspiration — channels with useful expertise, source material, topics, or creative evidence, even when their operating model is not directly reproducible.

Shared qualification rules

Every channel is classified relative to the ecosystem configured in config.js: core, adjacent, unknown, or irrelevant. Definitions are supplied to the LLM from configuration.

Confidence is separate from merit. Missing evidence remains unknown. Human reference seeds are optional and never override a contradictory or missing qualification.

# Five research queues

The queues answer different questions; a channel may appear in more than one.

1. **Best channels to learn from** — focused editorial identity, repeatable performance evidence, and plausible transferability.
2. **Breaking out / growth potential** — channels whose captured catalogue suggests strong performance relative to their scale. This is a static proxy unless repeated snapshots establish momentum.
3. **Durable exemplars** — substantial output history and repeated performance rather than a single outlier.
4. **Unexplored niches** — underrepresented subjects or approaches worth investigating. Novelty is a discovery signal, not proof of demand.
5. **Reference / inspiration** — channels with useful expertise, source material, topics, or creative evidence, even when their operating model is not directly reproducible.

## Shared qualification rules

Every channel is classified relative to the ecosystem configured in `config.js`: `core`, `adjacent`, `unknown`, or `irrelevant`. Definitions are supplied to the LLM from configuration.

- **Core:** the configured ecosystem is the primary subject, supported by recurring content.
- **Adjacent:** meaningful recurring overlap or transferable expertise, but not clearly the primary subject.
- **Unknown:** evidence is sparse, contradictory, or ambiguous.
- **Irrelevant:** evidence indicates another primary subject with no meaningful recurring overlap.

Confidence is separate from merit. Missing evidence remains unknown. Human reference seeds are optional and never override a contradictory or missing qualification.
